DECORATION PAINT ABSINT GREEN

The name Absint Green

has its origins in a famous liquor, which was mainly drunk early last century by artists and writers. This drink is known for its green or yellow-green tint. Many painters created works, in which a bottle absint is visible in the background or in some it's even placed in the foreground, such as the well-known work of Edgar Degas “The Absinthe drinker”. However, the drink was banned in several European countries because of its hallucinogenic effects caused by the ingredient thujone. Today, however, absinthe is considered legal again in many European countries.
