THE PAINT TECHNIQUE "WHITE WASHING"

White wash

White wash is a technique where the paint with water or varnish is dilute to see the wood grain.

If you are using varnish it is ideal to mix this directly with the paint and then applying on the surface.

Another technique is to first apply a paint layer and when this is still wet, rub the paint away with a wet cloth.

Both methods ensure that the wood grain of the substrate remains visible.
