Red is the colour of love, but it can also stand for passion in everything you do, for the blood in your veins and for warmth in general. All these things come together in Medici Red.

The space

The red interior
The retro wallpaper and columns are beautiful in this happy interior. Try to work in modern shapes, to give it a contemporary look.
The hearts

Hearts
Draw the shape of a heart on pattern paper and draw 0.5 cm seam around. Cut this out and pin it on the fabric. Repeat this until your 20 hearts are cut out. Stitch the hearts together with 2 straight sides and tie a piece of ribbon at the top, each time in a different length and shaped in a loop, so you can hang them up. Leave a piece open for filling. Replace the fabric and fill the hearts with filler material. Tighten the seam and stitch or sew it by hand. Hang it up in a group at different heights, which gives the whole a playful effect.
You can also make larger hearts, in this fabric, for the pillows in the sofa.
The serving tray

Templates
Paint the tray with the decorative paint colour Old White and leave it to dry. Use a stencil, you can choose your own motive, to paint the shapes with the colour Medici Red. Use a stencil wash so that there is no paint underneath the stencil (use a soft paint brush, you don’t want any hard lines within the template).
Make the interior complete with a bowl and red sand. Now add two glasses of wine and the party can start!
Lots of creative fun,
